TheEmployment Committee, under the direction of Miss Faith Smith of the Los Angeles Public Library School, undaunted by the business depression and the lack of new libraries for the unemployed, took thin opportunity t o circularize and enlighten business houses of the value of special libraries. The Membership Committee paid special attention t o following up with formal invitations those who visited our meetings. In this manner some new members were acquired. Helper cellfree expansion cultures were performed in 96-well Ubottom plates by adding T-cell expander beads at a ratio of 4 beads per cell to 2 104 CD4 CD25high T cells for the first week, and at a 1: ratio with 5 105 cells per well in 24-well plates thereafter. Cells were cultured in cRPMI with 300 U mL IL-2, fed with cRPMI IL-2 after 4 days, and restimulated with fresh beads weekly. CD4 CD25 T cells were stimulated as CD4 CD25high T cells for the first 2 weeks and later on with a reduced ratio of 1 bead per 10 cells. Because it causes disease in a small group of the population it affects, cagA virulence factors, which is said to have an important role in this pathogen. Methods: In this study, at which HP strains were isoleted from biopsy material of the patients who underwent endoscopy due to dispeptic problems, corelation of cagA gene with gastric histopatology was studied. Results: 72 of 129 patients in our study 56 % ; were HP + ; and 51 71% ; of the HP + ; ones had isolated cultures. 26 57 % ; of patients were found cagA positive with ELISA and 29 57% ; were found cag A positive with PCR. A comparative study of the cagA + ; and - ; groups histologically according to Sdyney system produced statistically significant results as regardas inflammation and activitiy scores p 0, 05 ; but no statistically significant results as regards intestinal metaplasia score, HP density and atrophy score. Altough both groups had similar HP density, cagA + ; group wre observed to have more inflammation and activity. Conclusion: Our results showed that moleculer techniques could be a better choice than serological tests to point out cag pathogen island.
